Responsibilities

The Park Department is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of 80 acres of parks at five different locations in Broken Bow.  They include Melham Park, the Marchek Indoor Tennis Center at Tomahawk Park, the picnic shelters at Tomahawk Park and at Melham Park, the City Square, the Tom Butler Memorial Bandstand and the One-Box Memorial Park.  There are eight ballfields the Park Department maintains as well.  The ballfields are Paul Brown Legion Field, Tomahawk Field, Melham Park Duplex, the South 5th Field and the Indian Hills T-Ball Triplex.

To provide an enjoyable and pleasant environment for recreational and family activities for both residents of and vistors to our community.

Board Information

The Park Board meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at 12:00 p.m. at the Marchek Tennis Center.
